Engineer to Creative Leader

My guiding light and foundation is my faith as a follower of Jesus Christ, and His hand has masterfully directed each step of my journey.

For over a decade, I've collaborated with top companies to develop enterprise-grade technology solutions that drive innovation, profitability, and customer engagement. I've also provided technical leadership, training, and guidance to software engineers and early-career technologists using industry-standard cloud and software engineering practices.

From a young age, I was drawn to technology and media creation—a passion that eventually led me to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Technology from Savannah State University. This educational experience opened doors to remarkable opportunities, enabling me to work with and train top engineering teams and early-career technologists as a Software Engineering and People Leader—which I still do today.

Later, I would explore the intersection of my passion for media production and engineering mentorship to create learning content to assist other software engineers in their engineering journey. One of my courses alone reached over a million students across 150 countries, empowering aspiring engineers to excel in cloud innovation and technology.

Yet, with each success I celebrated alongside these companies, my contributions and profitability impacts became part of their stories, metrics, and victories. I walked away with a paycheck and valuable experience for my resume, but not with a truly tangible, enduring piece of success that was entirely my own—a legacy, a mission that embodied my values and vision.

This realization sparked something deep within me, a call to build something of my own.

With this vision in mind, I founded The Hooper Group(HTMG), a technology and media agency, to bridge the worlds of technology and creativity. HTMG focuses on customer-centered web and software development, mobile app creation, media production, and white-label course design. I aim to equip everyday individuals and businesses with the tools to achieve their goals and amplify their strengths.

When I'm not helping my clients, I continue coaching and mentoring the tech enthusiast community through educational content through my weekly newsletter, YouTube, and my latest course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in AWS.

I also founded Psalms and Parables, a platform dedicated to creating worship and scripture-centered motivational content. By 2030, my vision is to guide 1 million people to Jesus through worship, prayer, and scripture.
